![]() |
Correct Usage
Sit from 12" to 15" from the light with eyes in about the middle of the
light. Feel free to read, eat breakfast, use the phone, etc.
Incorrect: Too Close
Too close to the light. It is not necessary to look or stare directly into the light.
Incorrect: Too Far Away
Sitting too far away (over 15") from the light will require longer sessions.
Incorrect: Head Down
Head down too far so not enough light can reach the eyes.
Instructions
The system should be attached to the edge of a desk, table, or counter top near a power source. Adjust the three swivel hinges so that the light is tilted down toward you.
Sit approximately 12" to 15" from the light. It is neither recommended or necessary to stare directly into the light. You can comfortably read, write or eat in front of the Day-Light.
Plug the Day-Light 10,000 F/X into a power source, flick the switch on and enjoy!
For best results, we recommend 30 minutes of use in the early morning. However, duration and time of use may be adjusted to fit personal requirements.
Note: We recommend that you consult a physician before exposure to any bright light source such as the Day-Light F/X.
Guidelines for Treatment
We recommend a 30 minute duration, at a distance of 12 to 15 inches from a Day-Light. You should begin at this level and personalize your routine from there.
The most effective time to use your Day-Light is in the morning, though use in
the afternoon is also effective. Use of a bright light in the evening is not
recommended as it may inhibit your regular sleep routine.
If a Day-Light is going to help you, you should
notice a difference within a week, and realize the full benefits in less
than one month.
Apart from your bright light therapy session, it is fine to use your Day-Light as a lamp to brighten up dark spaces. In fact, the Day-Light 10,000 F/X makes an excellent work lamp. For general use, you should sit farther from the light and point it away from your gaze.
PLEASE NOTE:
Day-Lights are innovative light supply systems and are not listed medical devices. If you suffer from a mood or sleep disorder such as depression, if you are under a physician’s care, or if you have other medical problems requiring regular use of medication, you should consult a physician before exposure to any bright light source such as Day-Lights. If you have any eye problems, you should also discuss with your physician whether there are any ophthalmological indications precluding the use of Day-Lights.
